Description
General Aviation Flight Training
In GAFT training (General Aviation Flight
Training) you will learn the basics of flight in a Cessna 172
training aircraft. From landings and takeoffs, cross-country
navigation, to instrument approaches you can learn it here. This
simulation program is supported by the state-of-the-art CAT II
simulator. If you have a specific training interest inform your
instructor so you may concentrate on that subject of flight.
Jet Aviation Flight Training
In the JAFT (Jet Aviation Flight
Training) program you can learn to fly the Air Force’s versatile
F-16 Fighting Falcon. You can learn how to use its complex avionics
systems in air-to-air combat, drop laser guided bunker-busting bombs
on juicy targets, dodge Mach 4 surface-to-air missiles the size of
telephone poles trying to shoot you down, master (if you can…)
aerial refueling, or try to bring her back in one piece for a
perfect main wheels landing.
Engineering Design Program
In the EDP (Engineering Design Program)
you can “turn n’ burn” with carrier operations, aerial fire
fighting, helicopter operations on pitching oilrigs, and daunting
seaplane flights. Takeoff into history in the “Enola Gay” B-29
and B-36 Peacemaker bombers, fly to fight in the P-40 Warhawk and
P-38 Lightning, and fight to win in nearly every modern-day
operational fighter the world over from the B-1, B-2, and F-117 to
the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
