Organization Profile

FlightSimulation.org is a non-profit organization with the primary goal of increasing sales for our members.  This site is free for all to use while members pay dues for a published showcase page to expose their products, technology, services and capability to a world market.  Thirty five (35%) of all member dues are allocated to advertising the FlightSimulation.org Web Site to attract buyers.  The remaining revenue is allocated for operating, promotion and growth related expenses.

FlightSimulation.org is the result of 4 years of research and industry/customer feedback to determine needs and requirements of potential members and address the frustration of buyers looking for turnkey solutions.  We need your help in refining the organization services, website and approach.

Why Flight Simulation?

Why so narrow as opposed to "Simulation" in general?  Flight Simulation represents the bleeding edge of technology.  It pushes the limitations of computer hardware, software, image generation, graphics, display systems, distributed networks, interoperability and design engineering like nothing else on earth.  The world's leading engineers, programmers and designers play in this arena.  Flight Simulation is a unique segment that gives birth to tomorrow's advances in technology and communication.  Savvy Investment Bankers and Venture Capitalists are learning to monitor this segment to better understand the future of their investments.

Why Include Entertainment?

Military and Commercial Aerospace simulation adopted many techniques created by entertainment and game companies.  Especially in the field of graphics, object modeling and terrain database design.  Some innovations in simulation continue to flow from the entertainment industry.
